Food Paradise in Melaka : Kota Laksamana

Kota Laksamana is located a stone's throw away from the historical Jonker Street and the beautiful Straits Of Melacca. Some history enlightenment, Kota Laksamana was once originally a sea area alongside Taman Melaka Raya and had been reclaimed land as it was part of the Melaka coastal development project back then in the late 1990s. 

In the present day, Kota Laksamana has emerged as one of the best food paradise destination in Melaka as you will get to find a vast variety of food cuisine ranging from Local, Indian, Western and Asian cuisines. Surely, this is the place where you will drool for food and desserts as you will spend most of your time exploring the wonders of this area.

During the day of Kota Laksamana as you are craving for some local delicacy, you might be interested in trying out Donald and Lily's as they serve one of the best Nyonya food around Melaka. No doubt that the food there are awesome as you will need to queue up to be served (It will be worth the wait ! Just hang in there). 

One of the recommended and demanded food by the locals and tourists is the Nasi Ketuk, commonly referred to as the "blue rice". The rice is fragrant on its own and by adding the ayam rendang it would be a lot tastier as it mixes so well that you could actually puke rainbow ! ... literally.  

The Laksa is one of Donald and Lily's most craved dish as the taste is just right and awesome as it is alluring to our taste buds. Not the be missed is the price of this dish is reasonable and you could not find any laksa with the same price and taste. The downside is that the taste is inconsistent as they tend to put in lots of santan but overall it still tastes good.

Next, Nancy's Kitchen is well known for their Peranakan food and personally they serve the best pongteh pork, ayam rendang , itek sio (duck) , fried prawns with onion and cendol. It is definitely a great experience and pleases the taste buds of hungry customers. Furthermore, Nancy's kitchen serve their food which is fresh, rich and fragrant.

Western cuisines 

Kensington Restaurant

One of the best western cuisines in Kota Laksamana as it provides a huge variety of choices from their menu that might give you a hard time making up your mind about what to eat (in a good way). One of the recommended dishes that will sizzle your meal is the sizzling grilled chicken tap with ham & cheese served with butter cream sauce.  While the price is reasonably cheap, it provides a great combination of food into one as the ham and chicken unison perfectly with the sauce ! 

Next, the oyster cheese is one of the best light dishes to start with before proceeding with your main meal. Slightly fattening with the overflowing cheese but if you play by the "You Only Live Once #YOLO" rule, guaranteed that it will bring satisfaction to your meal. Worth the price and taste. No regrets !
